WHY IT MATTERS
Why More Than 4?
Cancer is the leading cause of death by disease in children in the United States.
Yet kids with cancer receive just four percent of federal cancer research funding.
Not fourteen percent. Not forty-four percent. Four.
That means children are still being treated with therapies developed decades ago, not because better options aren’t possible, but because the funding isn’t there.
Every nomination keeps the chain moving. Every dollar funds research for kids who need better options. Every participant is proof that four percent is not enough.
